Amethyst Jewelry: A Gift for Our Beloved by Michael Harrah
An amethyst jewelry has a classic look that attracts people of all ages. Whether it's set with polished beads or a faceted stone, there is something about it that is able to compliment each and every wardrobe.
Although I was house visiting for a holiday, I got to visit an area jeweler best known for his silver. What ended up catching my eye was all of the amethyst jewelry displayed on the front case. Earrings, necklaces, rings and even lapel pins - all made with beautifully cut amethysts. I wasn't an amethyst fan before because I preferred the color blue. But I really got to admire the pieces in the case. I marveled at the array of jewelry and how both its shade and design was perfect for an incredibly elegant, formal piece or even a casual outfit that can be worn every day.
There were two amethyst jewelry items that I felt compelled to check out. The first was a ring made from Silver. The silver had been woven into an intricate Celtic pattern with a beautifully cut amethyst inside a round setting inside the pattern. The second was a pair of earrings (also made with Sterling Silver) inside a teardrop shape with a similar cut of amethyst set at the bottom of the teardrop. I wound up buying both because they were really worth the buy. I have even been using the ring every day. I commented on the available vast selection of amethyst jewelry, which the jeweler confirmed was their best seller.
At first, this information surprised me. But thinking about it, I was able to determine what its appeal really is. Given today's economy, amethysts are able to add a classy touch to any wardrobe minus the expensive price tag. And with Christmas on the horizon, people are now looking for great gift ideas to give.
Amethyst is also the birthstone for those born in February. This serves as the appropriate to give to those celebrating their birthday during this month. Another reason why you should give amethyst jewelry is during Valentine's Day. Doing so will make the receiver think why we chose to give them such a precious gift. This is why amethysts should only be given for our special ones.
